I like the dirt, so you know I like the dark, just like it is underground. I have real eclectic tastes when it comes to music. Im a musician so Im pretty open to anything thats:
a)good musically=innovative, skilled, cultured, poetic, etc...
b)good message=political, enlightening, shocking, poetic, emotion, etc...
With that said the only genre of music I've not heard anything that I've liked is Country. Now, Im not necassarily saying I dont like country, I just havent heard anything that I do like.

Resistir para Existir: La Lucha de los Cucapá
This short documentary tells the story the Cucapá, an Indigenous people of Mexicali, who have been denied fishing permits, even though they ... all » have been fishing in their valley for over 9,000 years; indeed, even before this area was considered Mexico.
Fishing is part of their ancestral traditions and is their only form of support. On the other hand, commercial fisherman have no problems obtaining fishing permits.
During the upcoming fishing season, which runs from February to May, the Sixth Delegation of the EZLN, along with adherents of “The Other Campaign” will set up camp in the Mexicali dessert community of the Mayor Cucapa, and will join the local community in exercizing their rights to fish in a peaceful, civil disobedient campaign for social change and justice.

Heroes
My grandma (I call her Nana) and my mom are my biggest heroes. If it wasnt for them I wouldnt be the MAN that I am today, I most likely wouldnt hold my current views towards Ladies especially considering the kind of person my dad is, and more importantly they raised me to be tough something that I cant thank them enough for. They always told me to never forget my Roots and Culture. When I was younger I didnt know any english. I was also enrolled in elementary school although I didnt fully understand English. My mom made sure I knew how to write, read, and speak Spanish. She made sure that I was proud of my mother tounge, heritage, and culture. When my cousins would tell me that I wasnt Mexican cuz I born in the US she would tell me that they were wrong. She would say Mijo "Your Mexican. You have Mexican Blood in your Body. Dont ever forget that. Dont forget who you are and where you come from." They've always been there for me. I couldnt ask for more out of a mother and a grandmother. This is Me and my 2 bro's This is my smallest brother in the cardboard box and thats my Grandpa pushing him with a dolly. Str8 Out Da Ghetto Biatches!

Tucson High Raza Studies students will celebrate their community with a theater production, Tierra Birthmarks, in Tucson High’s auditorium, on Friday January 16th at 7:00 p.m.
Tierra Birthmarks is a play that started as a research project for Tucson High Raza Studies senior literature classes. Groups of students had the opportunity to go interview people whose stories they felt were influential and important.
Each group of students transcribed their interviews into monologues that will be used in the play. Produced and performed by Tucson High Raza Studies students, Tierra Birthmarks recounts the history and voices of community members that are seldom heard.
Admission will be free.
Donations will be accepted for cancer survivors and Tucson High Unity Festival.
