About me:

William Moulton Marston, a psychologist already famous for inventing the polygraph (forerunner to the magic lasso), struck upon an idea for a new kind of superhero, one who would triumph not with fists or firepower, but with love. "Fine," said Elizabeth. "But make her a woman."[4]
Wonder Woman is a member of a fictional, all-female tribe of Amazons (based on the Amazons of Greek mythology) who is sent to "man's world" as an ambassador of peace, charged with the mission of imparting the Amazonian ideals of peace and harmony to "Patriarch's World." Among the Amazons she is known as Princess Diana (being the daughter of Amazon queen Hippolyta); in "man's world" she takes the secret identity of Diana Prince. Her powers include super strength, enhanced speed and stamina, and flight. She is highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat and in the art of tactical warfare. She also possesses an animal-like cunning and a natural rapport with animals, which has in the past been presented as an actual ability to communicate with the animal kingdom. She also makes use of her Lasso of Truth (which forces those bound by it to tell the truth), a pair of indestructible bracelets, and an invisible plane.
Who or what makes a hero? Is it a sense of duty or a call of the soul? All heroes don not always come in the traditional areas of confrontation- war, religion, and politics, they are someone who fights for a cause. Hero a true hero is found in the heart of every man, woman and child who must answer the call to do the right thing. A hero is distinguished by exceptional courage, nobility and strength usually associated with physical strength then there are those who persevere and in their souls quest for good help lead all of humanity out of despair. I have meet many hero's like the mother who single handed raises her children alone, the men who set good examples for their children, the women who inspire others by being good women not "nice", but a good person. The child who stands on his or her own in spite of all obstacles, The hero is found in the embrace of a loving mother, a poet song, a father steadfast love for his family, a friends hand through the good, the bad and the ugly in life, a woman willing to adopt you unconditionally, family, a scientist working for the good of man kind, found also in a compassionate heart rescuing puppies or dogs that been mistreated by humans, the woman of organizations like Su Casa working to stop domestic violence, a hero is found your own strength to persevere! ~Native American Prayer~
Oh, Great Spirit
Whose voice I hear in the winds,
And whose breath gives life to all
the world, hear me, I am small
and weak, I need your strength
and wisdom. Let me walk in beauty
behold and make my eyes ever
the red and purple sunset. Make my
hands respect the things you have
made and my ears sharp to hear
your voice. Make me wise so that I
you have taught my people. may
understand the things Let me learn
the lessons you have hidden in every
leaf and rock. I seek strength, not
I seek strength, not to be greater than
my brother, but to fight my greatest
enemy - myself. Make me always ready
to come to you with clean hands and
straight eyes. So when life fades, as the
fading sunset, my Spirit may come to
you without shame.
(translated by Lakota Sioux Chief Yellow Lark in 1887)
published in Native American Prayers - by the Episcopal Church.
