Zug Zug started in Boston at the end of the last century, rehearsed five nights per week, had fun, argued, had more fun, pissed off the neighbors at "3:30 in the morning," played everywhere from Portland, Maine to Washington, DC, warmed up the Goo Goo Dolls, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Danzig, GBH, Gang Green, TSOL, The Luna Chicks, Richie Havens (?), GG Allin, Dogzilla, The Bags, Seka, and Slaughter Shack. Sneaked into the semifinals of the 1990 'BCN Rumble, drank a lot of beer, smoked cigarettes, ate pizza and the occasional lobster roll, got beat up, applauded, booed, but never ignored. We tore it up at the Rat, Bunratty's, the Channel, the Paradise, Bill's Bar, Axis, TT the Bears, The Middle East, DC Space, Club Baby Head, the Living Room, kicked through the stage at Green St. Station, and got banned from Edible Rex. T Max was kind enough to put us on the cover of the Noise (issue #99). Our music was played on WAAF (we love you Carmelita), WBCN, WFNX and a lot of college stations. We had one release (on cassette tape), "From Here To Insanity," and appeared on the CD "Boston Gets Stoned." We loved our fans and to this day we are still brothers. Above all, we were into being a real band that played well and had good tunes. Finally, if you ever had the pleasure of seeing us live, WE KICKED YOUR ASS!!!
