This band is a perfect example of what can happen when one of the most tenacious supporters of Louisiana music pairs up with like-minds on the cemented plains of North Central Texas. To many DFW live music addicts, T-Richard & the Zydeco Stingrays represent the Pelican State of mind with a cosmopolitan sophistication mixed with the social camaraderie of a backyard barbeque. Their musical independence may shake the roots of traditional zydeco, but what would anyone expect from a band forced to traverse Big D on Central Expressway? Luckily, there's an exit ahead — a welcome departure from the well-worn Texas music directions.
