T-Richard & the Zydeco Stingrays incorporate fresh influences to carve out their own niche within the zydeco world — uniting tradition with reform — delivering compositions of originality and conversance to both fans of Louisiana music and new recruits of the genre.

This band is a perfect example of what can happen when one of the most tenacious supporters of Louisiana music pairs up with like-minds on the cemented plains of North Central Texas. To many DFW live music addicts, T-Richard & the Zydeco Stingrays represent the Pelican State of mind with a cosmopolitan sophistication mixed with the social camaraderie of a backyard barbeque. Their musical independence may shake the roots of traditional zydeco, but what would anyone expect from a band forced to traverse Big D on Central Expressway? Luckily, there's an exit ahead — a welcome departure from the well-worn Texas music directions. For this band, zydeco music infused with some big city style is all that is necessary to create a scene — and a new outlet for those lookin' for a helluva good time!
