Zydefunk will give you a taste of what bandleader, Charlie Wooton, experienced musically growing up in Lafayette, Louisiana. Taking you from the Lala in the backwoods to Mardi Gras in the streets of New Orleans! Wooton developed his unique way of playing bass hanging with musicians from around the world that passed through his hometown and studying with some of the top musicians in New Orleans. He learned the art of putting on a show while touring with Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band............................................................... ................................................................................................................... Holding down steady gigs in the southeast for the past eight years, Zydefunk has proven to be a consistent and growing draw. The best place to see then is at their home club, Northside Tavern or a festival where the family friendly party can be fully experienced. Some of their festivals include: Atlanta Midtown Music Festival, Ft. Lauderdale River Walk Blues and Music Festival, Lowcountry Music Festival, Montreaux Festival, Bonterra Blues bash and Clematis by Night. Zydefunk has been featured on C.N.N. World News and multiple of times on Fox TV’s “God Day Atlanta”............................................................................ ................................................................................................................... With a strong desire to give back to the community, Zydefunk opened for Buckwheat Zydeco at the M.A.D.D. Benefit in Atlanta, Ga................................. ................................................................................................................... “Tears to Triumph”…wow! That was two weekends of music that Zydefunk put together to benefit the victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. They also donated their time, resources and energy for Dance Aid Atlanta as well as the L.S.U. Hurricane Benefit .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ....
