ZYDEPUNKS RELEASE NEW ALBUM "FINISTERRE" ON NINE MILE RECORDS
The album was recorded and mixed in New Orleans at Guerilla and Piety Street Studios in 2007 and 2008. Finisterre features a who's who of the Louisiana music scene, with members of the Lost Bayou Ramblers, Hot Club of New Orleans, My Graveyard Jaw, Wazozo, Why Are We Building Such a Big Ship?, Hurray for the Riff Raff, and Magnolia Beacon contributing to the recording.
The Zydepunks have been performing internationally since 2003.

The Zydepunks - a New Orleans quintet with dueling accordions and fiddles instead of rock guitars - play a fast, whirling music that is not just zydeco and way more than punk. Their set at this year's New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival had the Cajun waltzers baffled. Everyone else just jumped for joy to the speed-core melange of klezmer tornadoes, Balkan dances, Celtic reels and bayou-squeezebox war.
