my apologies, friends
i haven't been able to make any music for some time. not sure what was preventing me... after all, blaming "life" for everything i can't do has no merit of accountability in it - i try to stay away from thinking in those kinds of ways.
i simply had to look into other parts of my life that i had neglected for some time, i think. when an individual decides to "move up in life," they have to move all parts of it up not just whatever has become the latest rage. i was stuck in a rut of my own making with a whole lot of complacency... so when i decided to change things up, the transition was particularly testy and, at the end of every day, there was really niether time nor any resources left to be utilized in music.
as a result, zyko was thrown onto the back burner
while this was happening, however, several other very important things were happening as well; chiefly among them, an increased awareness of the world around me. now, i've always considered myself to be exceptionally aware... btu i had started to look inward too much over the past several years and the tunnel vision began to limit my abilities and potential to move forward and gain a better life for my daughter and i
that said, since forcing myself to change my perspective, i've seemed to improve how i perceive both my immediate universe and the larger one simultaneously and it has finally extended its perceptive tentacles into the lifeless muse that had been laying dormant in me...
admittedly, it's increasingly harder each day to talk about my own music. however, i think, to be fair, that my muse had been dormant for about 3 years. yeah, i really am condemning all that music i've released in the last 3 years but listening to it, i can plainly see how misguided and lost i was. like the proverbial deer in the headlights, my muse sounds as though it was dumbfounded by the last 3 years of reality.
i've found a new pulse. my daughter showed it to me. i intend on using it a lot.
