GENERAL: Avant-garde classical/freeform Jazz thought and interaction applied to brain damaging grindcore/death-metal.
SPECIFIC: Karlheinz Stockhausen, Brutal Truth, Don Caballero, Sun-Ra, Venom, Celtic Frost, Morton Subotnick, Sepultura, and everything else that we've listened to that had an effect on our already warped and twisted brains.
Zyklus II is a fully improvised, two-piece wrecking machine that specializes in playing brutal and extreme music (pretty loud, usually). Between the flurry of whirlwind drumming and the growl of a distorted 8-string bass lies a sound that is both captivating and devastating to your ear, which is the way things should be overall.
Also included is a hefty serving of multi-instrumentalism, whether it be insane electric violin, various manipulated electronic devices or vocal grunts. And yeah,
every note and sound is entirely improvised on the spot with no prior rehearsal.
