ZZ Eliminator began as the side project of top Yorkshire blues band Dr Blue, who`ve played at all the top venues and Festivals and in various incarnations have supported the likes of Slade, John Otway, Darius (!), The Blues Band and Walter Trout.
The lowdown- ZZ Eliminator is a tribute band drawn from real hairy assed musicians, no cheesey club stuff here, its uncannily authentic both visually and musically, and, most importantly, its FUN!!
Since starting up a year ago, the band has gone from strength to strength and beard to beard, now playing at top venues throughout the North and were invited to do a TV spot for Children in Need.
Gigs this year include: Clarence Park Festival, The Springhead, Hull, Ossett Gala, The New Roscoe, Leeds, The Gasworks, Bradford, No 10 Dickens Bar, Rotherham, The Boot and Shoe, Ackworth, Peaks Booze and Blooze Festival, Bootfest (with T Rex, Saxon and John Parr etc), The Snooty Fox, Wakefield and The Boardwalk, Sheffield.
If you want a band that gives the full mashings, the look, the sounds, the gear and the tongue in cheek showmanship of ZZ Top- these are the guys hitting the Billy G spot.
