That has got to be the *cutest* doggie picture I've ever seen! Awesome!! :D
I'll try to get some pics of the sheep-- we continue in our running.... ugh. They've actually stayed in for over a week now, so I'm getting hopeful that we might have found the last hole and patched it!
  • Aug 15 2007 8:30 PM

Sorry I didn't reply to your comment sooner. Life is just rushing by at the moment. Look forward to seeing you at the quiz next week!
  • Aug 15 2007 10:24 AM

Thank you for you kind comments. I think you're right, perhaps I need to live without electricity for a while: or at least leave the laptop, the ipod and all the other gadgets at home.
  • Jul 28 2007 7:23 PM

I think the pressure is getting to Oswald, poor boy. He's been a little odd all week, and now he's dressed up as monk.

"I decided I didn't want to be a vet after all because I didn't like sick animals"

I devoured the Herriot books when I was about 14 or 15, and thus was my life's purpose revealed to me. Soon afterwards I met my first computer and that was the end of wanting to be a vet.

I don't tell everyone this - but I have several editions of Melvyn Bragg's "In Our Time" on my ipod, as well as other Radio Four gems.

Hi, Sue! Hope you're getting some clear weather for walking by now! Ours has been good, but I find myself chasing sheep (more or a trot than a walk, really)-- so no camera. Hopefully I'll be back to the photos soon! Thanks for the note!

I love Skellig! Sorry to have missed him but good on you sneaking in : )

Children are so lucky to have these wonderful author events - and authors visiting their schools too. I didn't have anything like that when I was a young avid reader. I would have loved it and it would certainly have helped me in my determination to become a writer.

Will you be there on Sunday for JW?

And lovely to see you and meet your family. Wasn't Michael Rosen fabulous! I will 'add' him too. He had such energy and enthusiasm. And I was the one he first picked on - the "there's always one". I soon joined in after that ; )
