Action Camp is a Pittsburgh-based trio who blends elements of doom, post-punk and art rock.
Now in its 13th year, the band has moved toward a minimal post-punk approach, in contrast to its electronic, sample-heavy beginnings.

This approach is front and center on Action Camp’s latest release, Death Discs, a live record of “splatter platters,” teen tragedy songs from the '50s and '60s. From the melodrama of classic tracks like “Leader of the Pack” and “Last Kiss” to the darkly outlandish events recounted in lesser-known cuts like “The Water Was Red” and “Nightmare,” Action Camp brings their unique blend of doom and pop sensibilities to the Death Discs collection.
