Chris Audren - InTrue Mental Universe
ChrisAudren is a Composer &Musician from Brittany/France, who mainly plays keyboards.

Here'show he introduced himself ten years ago: "So, I'm a Composer-Musician (and Singer) from Brittany (the western, celtic and formerly independent part of France...) ; music is a whole to me (myinterest as a music lover and as a creator is creative excellence, over"labels" or "styles" classification ; it can be found in avery catchy inventive pop song as much as in a long and complex progressivesuite ...) and my creativity follows this trend ; fertile (...toomuch...sometimes...) and very eclectic, even if my "style" is oftenquite recognizable. Anyway, my two main fields of influences developed in thelands of Celtic music (my culture...) and Progressive music... The artist whoinitially inspired me the most was probably Mike Oldfield, for the genius ofhis diversity and the originality of his inspired inventivity in multi genrecrossover, and among my other favorite and/or influencing artists through theyears (let's call them "references"), the first ones are Yes (andmembers solo careers), Genesis (idem), Saga, Jethro Tull, BJH, etc... but alsoAlan Stivell (the musical legend of my homeland, progressive reinvention of celticmusic) and his former guitarist Dan Ar Braz ; more recently, in this field,Stone Age, ...and a large number of other things from Vangelis to DreamTheater, from Mozart to Pekka Pohjola, from Joe Jackson to Ethiopianpop..."

His first album,"Opus 1", now sold out (and planned to be remade), was a eclectic mixbetween is Progressive/Symphonic rock influence and his Celtic roots, alongwith more "pop" songs..

The second, "GwenMenez", fully instrumental in a modern Celtic vein, was based on music hecomposed for series of open-air light-shows about Celtic legends and the storyof Carabossa.

As he was working ondifferent projects in progress, he was selected by Jon Anderson, the legendaryvoice of Yes, Jon & Vangelis, to collaborate on, initially, orchestralworks and then on various composition, which remained unreleased until now...

At about the same time,he started to work on what was first supposed to be a simple instrumentalalbum, as a open door to new opportunities for his music, before making a newalbum of "songs". Time passed...with highs and lows...life...and afew other collaborations...and, delayed & delayed, the instrumental projectbecame a full double album of 24 different pieces...which is finally releasednow !

A vast, dense andspecial melodic journey full of musical gems to discover...
