All killer and no filler - that is exactly what you get with four-piece sonic upstarts Killatrix.
But don’t take our word for it - just ask the people that matter. Like Manchester electro pop punk outfit Sonic Boom Six, who Killatrix supported for their very first gig, or the organisers of the Brownstock Festival, who specifically requested the band to open up their festival on the Main Stage in 2013.

In fact when it comes to their home county of Essex, they’ve pretty much ticked off the ‘big ones’ playing at the prestigious V Festival the following year which just leaves the rest of the country then!

Made-up of Sin Dii (vocals), Chris (bass), Paul (drums) and Sam (guitar) the band certainly have an eclectic array of tastes, drawing on such musical genres as rock, electro, dub, drum and bass, and even a bit of Latin thrown in for good measure. It’s a musical mixing bowl that somehow produces a sound that’s both devastating and exquisite in equal measure.

The band formed in late 2012 after finding themselves working at Shutupfool Studios, in deepest, darkest Essex. At that time each member came from different parts of the county and were all playing in other bands, but following a number of conversations of musical loves and hates in the Studio kitchen, a few mugs of tea and several pints later, the idea of throwing their combined influences into a new project took hold. Bouyed by the challenge of upholding a local underground dance music legacy, the four set to work.

Starting with a plan to write songs with with thumping beats, huge bass lines, gut wrenching guitars and anthemic chorus's, that’s exactly what Killatrix did. Taking the raw beat sounds of the Essex underground club culture, a rock soundtrack formed from hours of listening to the likes of Rage Against the Machine, Skindred and Avenged Sevenfold, not to mention the breathtaking vocal fireworks that belies Sin Dii’s slight exterior, they began making the music they wanted hear.

On stage, the band’s rock and electronic thump and buzz sound has sat very well with Hadouken amongst others and is where the band come alive.

Whatever their tricks are, they are Killa!
