A progressive metal band from Uppsala, Sweden, Loch Vostok were formed in 2001 by vocalist and guitarist Teddy Möller -- previously the drummer in like-sounding group, Mayadome.
Taking his keyboard playing cohort Sebastian Okupski with him, and then drafting second guitarist Niklas Kupper, bassist Tomas Jonsson, and drummer Alvaro Torres, Möller eventually found a home at Magnetism Records for Loch Vostok's debut album, Dark Logic, which emerged in 2004. Boasting components of thrash, prog, and power metal while alternating clean and growled vocals, the album drew largely positive reviews and paved the way for a new deal with Escapi Music prior to the release of 2006's sophomore effort, Destruction Time Again!, introducing new keyboardist Fredrik Klingwall. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
