Baltimore punk rockers the Mishaps may hail from the home city of John Waters and his band of campy lunatics, but their sound comes much closer to the early-'80s assault of the Los Angeles punk scene.
Blasting out songs with a scary intensity while alternately keeping a self-aware attitude about their antics, the band offers a sound that few Maryland bands could match in 2002. Formed only a year before, the band immediately began writing and hit the road with bands like the River City Rebels and Worthless United. Scissor Records was hip to their sound and helped them release their first EP, Get Away Volume, in the summer of 2002. ~ Bradley Torreano
