She has sweet sultry vocals, blending R&B and pop into one sound call Urban Pop. Inspired by artist such as Diana Ross, Sade, Aaliyah, Tamia, and Brandy, OhGinelle's smooth and soulful voice is a twist on the classics. .. .. Born in New York and raised in South Florida, to West Indian parents, OhGinelle has a keen understanding for different types of people and cultures. She is known for saying, "I'd rather sing before I talk, I'd rather dance before I walk". As backwards as that may seem, it make sense to OhGinelle. .. .. Her musical foundation was established at the tender age of seven. She attended a music school where she learned to play the piano and participated in the schools annual plays. One year, she got a lead role that included singing Etta James famous song At Last. "I was so nervous at first, but the audience loved it and gave me my first standing ovation!" From the point on, there was no denying that music would be her life. .. .. OhGinelle is very versitile and has performed many different genres of music from rock, to classical, to calypso which have all influenced her tremendously. The singer/songwriter enjoys writing and being able to tell her stories through her music by giving others opportunities to relive memories with every word. "I even write about the bad memories sometimes. It helps me to remember who I am and exactly how I got here". The songbird spend her free time writing music, composing, and attending dance and vocal classes. .. .. With style, grace, intelligence, creativity, amazing vocals, and a bit of sex appeal, possibilities are endless. There are no boundries for this up and coming artist.
