| About 12 Ton Sledge |
12 Ton Sledge was originally formed in the fall of 1998 by Joe & Scott bringing a hardcore attitude to the Phoenix scene ala Hatebreed etc. Cut to 2004 12 Ton Sledge recruits guitarist Eric the Red and Joseph Franco shortly after as their new guitarists. With these guys on guitars, the attitude shifted to a more progressive in your face brutal metal ala Burn the Priest and early L.O.G. 12 Ton Sledge has been heard all over the world and continues to be played on a regular rotation on local metal shows as well as many internet radio stations
In 2007 12 Ton Sledge decided to take a break. Sadly for all of us, Scott has decided to step away for personal reasons (because raising your children IS more important than just about anything!) The rest of the band have decided to hang the name up and start another project and will continue to evolve into another chapter with a new name and direction. That new name is Cathexis (www.myspace.com/Cathexismetal)and there will be a new vocal direction as it could never be 12 Ton Sledge without our singer, bandmate,brother and voice of 12 Ton Sledge.
