About me:
Hi,I’m a novel in the process of being written. My author, Stephen L. Thompson, has made this page for me to, 1: work on early interest in me which is never a bad thing, and 2: as he puts it, “be a significant kick in the ass to finish the damn thing.” It is his idea that the more people who know about me, the more people who will keep bugging him on how I’m doing, what I’m up to, and all that. This will be more incentive for him to finish me to shut all of those people up.
Right now there isn’t much here, but after I get some friends he is planning on putting up some sample chapters, some background information, maybe a synopsis, and whatever else he can think of. It is his hope to have me roughly finished by the end of 2007, and I wish him well, but I’m not going to hold my breath. Because I can’t; I’m just a book, I don’t breathe. :P

Just wanted to let you (and your comment-reading friends) know that GUD Issue 1 is now available for purchase!
Issue 1 comes to life with Darby Larson's "Electroencephalography" where an experiment in robot-building goes terribly awry. And if you've ever woken up with an unexpected physical deformity—say, an arrow in your heart—you'll truly enjoy the next story. There's also a smattering of flash fiction and psychedelia; a straight-out story where things aren't what they seem, poetry that takes you from the perverse to the sublime, some magic realism, science fiction, and a few letters to another species thrown in for good measure. We haven't forgotten those of you with a literary bent. In addition, the artwork in this issue is particularly strong, with oil paintings, watercolors, photography, and photo illustrations complementing the words with which they are paired.
Thanks for being a friend!
'City Smells' is a new literary project set up by the Edit Red Writing Community.
We are running three writing competitions, Flash Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction and Poetry, all with the theme 'City Smells. The winners of each of these competitions will win $100. But more than this, we will take the best work from each competition and compile a paperback 'City Smells' anthology. The writers who make it into the 'City Smells' anthology will each receive free copies of the book and be paid a royalty in book sales.
To submit to these competition and stand a chance of being published in the 'City Smells' book you must be a member of Edit Red, as the submission process is automated. Joining Edit Red and entering these competitions is 100% free. If you make it into the book, we will pay royalties based on book sales.
Edit Red has existed for many years and was created and is still managed today by non-fiction author Alan Emmins, creative writing teacher Chris Lee Ramsden and literary reviewer Sean Merrigan.
If you are not already a member, we hope you will join and take part in this great literary event. Visit editred.com for free membership and free entry.
Regards
Alan, Sean and Chris

Hey, thanks for being a friend to the anthology. And because you're a friend, I'll do my best to keep the mutants and marauders off your back while you're in the ruins searching for the last remaining cans of food.
What's the anthology? Glad you asked:
