    Formed in 2009, 24SANCTIONS combines face-melting guitar riffs, clean, melodic singing, beautiful melodies, fast and aggressive drumwork and furious growls, a mix never before heard at such a level coming from the freezing bosom of Finland. Vocalist Joonas Salonen and guitarists Vilikasper Kanth and Jari Vahtola have known each other since childhood, and bass player Miropekka Kanth isn't exactly a new acquaintance either. The newest addition to this mind-blowing quintet is drummer Juhamatti Kauppinen, whom Joonas has known for about four years. With Joonas's versatile voice, Vilikasper's and Jari's superb guitar-playing, Miropekka's precise and innovative basswork and Juhamatti's adrenaline-filled drumming, 24SANCTIONS is a breath of fresh, cold air through Finland's metal scene. The name comes from the philosophy that every action has a consequence, or a sanction. Cause and effect. And every hour of the day effects the next, so as many as there are hours in a day, there are sanctions. Therefore, 24SANCTIONS.
