27 Years is a dynamic rock group based out of the Twin Cities. The combination of innovative songwriting, explosive musicianship and a powerful live show sets 27 Years apart from today's typical rock scene.
The band is coming off of their first independent release in 2008. Their debut album, July Skies, has given 27 Years the ammunition to continue their vision to share their sound in one of the best local music scenes in the country.
The current lineup features Lantz H. Dale on Guitar and Vocals, Conrad Wachter on Cello, John Otto on Bass and Sam Nilson on Drums.
The band name, 27 Years, is a testament to the great musical heros of the past who left this world far too early. 27 Years may be named after their fallen idols but even Jim Morrison once said, "Each generation wants new symbols, new people, new names. They want to divorce themselves from their predecessors." 27 Years hopes to be and do just that.
Hey Man!!!! I was drivin home the other night and I was stopped at a light and I heard Magic In Her Eyes playing from the car next to me!!!! I thought that was so freaking cool and I just had to put my cd in and I've been listening to July Skies ever since. Can't wait til you come out with some new stuff!
