There are artists who have careers with success and longevity. 2 Piece is the latter of these types of artists. Hailing from a small town in Northeast Texas(Hooks), 2 Piece began honing his skills at an early age. 2 Piece followed in the footsteps of his older brothers by being a member of his church choir's tenor section. He performed in every talent showcase within a 200 mile radius of his home town. His unique sound and ability quickly allowed him to become a fan favorite. The alias "2 Piece" is derived from his combination of hip hop lyricism and R&B vocal undertones in his music. He has performed with artists such as Devin the Dude, Trae tha Truth, and Dem Franchise Boys. 2 Piece's debut album "The Missing Piece" is scheduled for a late 2009 release. He prides himself in making music that a wide variety of the listening public can relate to. It is inevitable that 2 Piece is set to become a perinnial star in the entertainment industry. In an industry where predictability and monotony have become the norm, Northeast Texas emcee 2 Piece seeks to buck the trend with his unique blend of R&B and hardcore hip-hop. With the ability to craft a smooth R&B jam for the ladies while simultaneously providing the streets with an anthem to keep the block jumping, 2 Piece is one of the most versatile artists to burst onto the scene in years. After stints with various local groups, 2 Piece has found a home with Northeast Texas label, Kick Doe Entertainment as one of its marquee artists. Along with his best friend, fellow emcee B.U.G., he released the acclaimed "Set the Booth On Flames" [2005] featuring the smash street singles "Hold Up" and "If You Were My Lady." After various setbacks regarding local radio refusing to give adequate radio play despite local popular demand, 2 Piece and the rest of Kick Doe Entertainment have decided to make 2006 a banner year with the planned release of "Hustle Harder Vol.1" and the highly-anticipated sequel to last year's "Set the Booth on Flames."
