50ft Panda maintain a strong grip on what’s important
for a good live show: they rock, and they do so
relentlessly and brilliantly.
Simon Minter - Nightshift Oxford Jul 07
From the outer limits of the metal orbit, a wibbling terrorcore instrumental 2-piece who mash face-shredding riffs over a carpet bomb beats, 50ft Panda will make you spit your drink out in that fun kind of way. Andy - The Dragon's Ball
It’s all about the riffs, say 50ft Panda, and
they’re not wrong. Frenetic but not
frantic, intricate but not overly precious,
heavy but not messily so, 50ft Panda are a
whole heap of simple, bulldozing fun.
Demo of the Month - Nightshift Oxford Sept 07
The duo play a virtually uncategorisable mix of white noise, heavy riffing and insanely complicated drumming, made all the more terrifying by the fact that they introduce each song in such a quiet, unassuming manner. Intense stuff - definitely a band to look out for in the near future.
Sean Diamond, 23/05/08
50ft Panda are / were a 2 piece instrumental rock band based in Oxford with 2 records to their name. Now on hiatus due to various travelling things and both leaving Oxford it seems the days of the Panda are over. However Chris and I will hopefully do some more stuff together at some point but what and when is a mystery. Cheers to anyone who ever came to see us play, we've had an shit load of fun over the last 2 years.

Check out our (mostly) instrumental jams. Not really sure what to make of them ourselves! We've recorded every session we've had for the last 2 years and this we think is some of the best of it... it's all just jams, completely unedited, and not really related to anything else we've played before or since! So it's rough. But would love to know what - whatever - you think.
Thank-Ewe! Rockin last night boyos. I've a vid on my fone from the xmas gig, will upload in due course. Sorry again about all that shizz man! Safe travels x
Hey man, thought I'd do that annoying thing where people stick flyers on your page..
Not sure any of it will be your thing, but we supported you at Jericho tavern just over 6 months ago, and would absolutely love the chance to play with you guys again, you're sick, i love what you do, and we had a lot of fun being the 3 guys rockin out to your set. Enough begging, peace out. xo
