In a time when lip-synching and hip hop tops the charts, Canadian based band “Seventh Rain” set out to prove that real talent and dedication can overcome the strongest of obstacles. With Ryan Williams on vocals, Rich MacFarlane on guitar, Phil Grossi on drums, and Luke Sheppard on bass, the songwriting force that is seventh rain are here to give people what they’ve been waiting for; they are putting true melody back in to rock music, making it accessible for people of all ages, with the image to fit.

After earning the title "best unsigned artist" by Calgary radio station Vibe 98.5, Seventh Rain have just released their new album "Byda". It's packed with 13 radio-ready pop/rock songs that were recorded at the world renowned “Warehouse Studio” in Vancouver, BC; in which Todd Kerns (former lead singer of “The Age Of Electric”) produced, Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith, etc.) mixed, and Dean Maher (Rise Against, Trapt, Hedley, etc.) engineered and mixed. In listening to one of the finished songs, “Good Charlotte’s” Benji Madden claimed it was a guaranteed “hit”.

With the widespread success of their first two singles "It's Not You" and "Save Me", along with a digital release of their music video, their third single "I'm Here" has just been released to radio stations across the country, debuting at number 20 in the top 30 in Calgary. It is already receiving an amazing response, with the stations' DJ's claiming their emails are full with requests for Seventh Rain.

Having toured across Canada and much of the United States, Seventh Rain has garnered many fans that continue to support them wherever they go. They have shared the bill with major recording acts such as Hedley, Live, Ten Second Epic, Nickelback, Evanescence, sum 41, Third Eye Blind, and many others. Unlike many opening acts, Seventh Rain was able to capture the audience, receiving numerous e-mails and selling out cd’s.

From sing along melodies to catchy guitar riffs, Seventh Rain is a band that is here to show that music was not meant to be a fad. They are determined to stand the test of time and are definitely here to stay.
