Big 10-4, the energetic modern rock band based out of Orlando, Florida have taken on the challenge of winning over fans one by one. They have created a sound made for arenas that grafts soaring guitars, lush melodies and seductive rhythms on top of a narrative lyrical style that tells the stories of our lives. The ham radio sign-off BIG 10-4 perfectly describes the group’s positive, upbeat vibe. The daring word play and brain swelling melodies are what makes this band stand out, making you realize that these are the soundtracks of your days and the stories of you nights. Having signed with Universal/Republic Records, they released "Testing The Atmosphere" in 2006, with Matt Wallace(Maroon 5, Faith No More), and hit the road in support of regional radio play. Over the course of the past years they've grown from college dives to 500 capacity sellouts in Orlando, furthermore establishing a strong presence in the southeast. Gaining the respect of their peers and fans, the band has won numerous awards (Orlando Sentinel band of the year) and opened up for many national acts (Something Corporate, Jason Mraz, OAR, Sister Hazel, Sean Paul, Gin Blossoms, Better Than Ezra, Cake, Seven Mary Three....).
Big 10-4 has emerged from the studio with their second album and first independent release, "Magazines and Movie Screens," a compilation of the bands most powerful and organic collection of songs to date. From the straightforward immediacy of "We've Been Here" to the rythmic/rock of "Good Girl", singer/songwriter Verduin has continued to evolve his heartfelt lyricism, combining it with the bands most complete and soulful performances. The homegrown sound was developed alongside producer Chril Gill (Shinedown), adding depth and experience to the project. Big 10-4's show is going back on the road looking to support the work they have poured their lives into. They will be hitting the southeast in the fall of 2009.
Big 10-4 is powered by Gibson Guitar.
