Hey TWIN CITIES!
so what is TC Peace Vigils? Its an all-encompassing calendar for the many peace vigil and other peace related activities coming up here as we gear our two cities up for one heck of a Republican National Convention (RNC) Sept 1-4 and beyond. Currently the main tactic is standing on bridges and intersections with well made banners promoting peace slogans such as "Say No to war with IRAQ/N", "Would Jesus Torture" and "Support Bridges - End The War".
In Fact we'd like to announce A major Ped bridge Campaign to be held on 4 ped bridges in St. Paul on all 4 mornings of the RNC! We hope you can join us at one. IF YOU ONLY GO TO ONE PEACE VIGIL IN YOUR LIFE, THESE WOULD BE THE BEST AND MOST EFFECTIVE!!
Traffic Bannering can reach thousands of people an hour, and since most media outlets prefer not to cover peace marches and rallies, Bridge bannering can be a very effective way of letting our fellow citizens how we feel and what we want. Come on and join us some time, there's nothing quite like hundreds of peace signs, honks, and thumbs ups whizzing by at 55 MPH right under your feet!
