dallas willard, john ortberg, n.t. wright, henri nouwen. cezanne. any good music, from john gorka to john scoffield. i like it all. lots of folk. a good bit of euro-rock. a dash of techno/dance, ala justice. the standards of course as well, who need no mention.
Sounds Like
sounds like we're going to start pushing the envelope for what's commonly thought of as leading p/w. there's more awaiting. sounds like just covering the latest greatest & trendiest songs isn't cutting it anymore. sounds like it's time to learn and grow and stretch and become more of who we're made to be. sounds to us like worship isn't just something we do from the neck up, but with our whole beings. sounds like tomorrow.
It's more prophetic than programmatic. More pastoral than performing too. If you're looking for a band to come play 3 songs before a talk, keep looking. It's not our thing. We'd much rather spend time ministering and praying for healing and wisdom than selling bracelets and trinkets and signing 8x10 glossys. The state of modern worship is perilous at best, and trinkets aren't helping anything. We need to get serious about worship in Spirit and Truth.
So then. If you're looking to craft an experience where your community can get with God and engage him with all their senses, then you're getting closer; we're hungry for more of the Lord, and love to commingle with others who are like~minded.
Aaron's been leading worship since 1998 and God's continually taking him to new places in worship and praise. Latest seasons have emphasized impartation, intercession, healing, freedom, liturgy, and prophecy. Who knows what's next?
