This fast paced platter is the result of overwhelming demand from the nation’s pop picking audience. Ever since 2002’s Memphis influenced stomper “Last Train to Salinas” the highly quiffed tunesmith Aaron Sutcliffe has been repeatedly urged to return to the recording studio – and this is the rip-roaring Beatles’ inspired result.

Aaron has come a long way since his days as a member of riotous rockers The Rebel Trousers in the late 1980’s. It wasn’t long before Aaron’s blistering vocals caught the attention of enigmatic pop svengali “Bozzy” Dalfour, himself a mutineer from Tin Pan Alley’s production line pop. Together they masterminded the sensational debut EP “Moody Blue” back in 1998. That stormer, released on a minor label, paved the way for a barrage of praise from both the popular press and the public alike. The phonographic industry’s pressure valves were set to maximum and Aaron was soon snapped up by electronic pop stable SSC. Here he joined forces with top flight producer Eskil Simonsson, the noted frontman of the raving beat combo Covenant. It was this formidable team that concocted the “Last Train to Salinas” long player.

The barn storming success of this 2002 homage to the Presley portfolio drove Aaron back into the recording studio late last year, and as promised “Wavertree” has proven to be a rooftop-shaking romp through the sometimes unturned corners of the Beatles late album crackers. “Wavertree” sees Aaron turning up the power of pop with 14 ripping renditions of Lennon and McCartney penned tracks including the single “Got To Get You Into My Life”. The soul endearing swagger of this single is thanks to the collaboration between Aaron and electronic rhythm guru Andreas Tilliander, truly a match made in pop heaven if ever there was one! Throughout this homage to the fabulous four we can only marvel at Aaron’s lyrical prowess as he sears his way through such fever pitch renditions as “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road?”, “Oh Darling!” and “Tomorrow Never Knows”.

This tremendous release will no doubt set teenagers the length and breadth of the country into a rockin’ frenzy. Let Aaron provide you with a raving sixty minutes – for this is the stuff that screams are made of!
