About Abandoned Asylum

Abandoned Asylum is a dark ambient project that originated in 2003 after my first attempts of creating sounds more than a year before. It has evolved since then, after years of working and experimenting but the main idea remained the same.

Abandoned Asylum is a place, far, and yet close, somewhere around us and inside us. A place when we would like to hide and shelter. It's a deserted place, filled with sadness and loneliness, remnants of the past, haunted by memories. This place can be found anywhere, in the depths of haunted woods, ruins of old cathedrals, empty halls of rusty factories, or even at the end of the stars. Always there where our feelings bring us.

I'm intersted in designing graphics for projects/bands/labels, involving cd layouts, zines, banners, posters etc. You can find my works on my deviantART.com profile.

roto visage *new album*	May 28 2009 12:13 AM her final breath. From the label: Time has come for a fresh collaborative album, released by No Angels Prod. and Beast Of Prey. We would like to present a unique opus, which appears as a co-operation of Inner Vision Laboratory (Poland) and Roto Visage (USA) projects, symbolically entitled "Cinema Stain". Here, the listener is forced to wale in pathological and "impure" visualizations of human pain, fears and suffering, which are surprisingly seducing with subtle beauty. Some of the soundforms are painted heavily with a brush of rhythm while others flow like the spools of film spinning through a mechanical projector. The aim of both of the composers was to write an original soundtrack to a non-existent horror film – the result is excellent, and by taking vocal samples from other movies, they created also an auditory record of tension and melancholic darkness. For layout of this release, we used modified photographs from the very talented photographer - Karolina Kosowicz. More info here.
