Abe's Logic is the musical extension of Abe Vandenberg's multiple musical personalities. From a sort of surfer grunge alternative, to ska, to jazz, to flat out rock, Abe writes and plays with energy and vibrancy providing an enjoyable and thought provoking experience for fans of various musical genres.
Abe Vandenberg is a multi-instrumentalist, signer/songwriter with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from West Virginia University living in Hawaii who in the last two years has produced two solo "Abe's Logic" albums (including the 2009 album "Wars Ragin") and two collaborative "Nomadic Profusion" albums.
Two years ago Vandenberg teamed up with Christopher Candito to produce the original score for the BBC documentary “Message in the Waves” (that also featured the music of Jack Johnson, Matt Costa, The Beautiful Girls, and Xavier Rudd) bringing the globally interconnected plastic epidemic plaguing Earth's ocean to a world-wide audience in a creative and inspiring film that has inspired action for change.
“Wars Ragin” is an appropriate album title, as the first time listener is assaulted with a myriad of different music styles. Indeed, this is not an album to be judged by the first listening. It requires your attention like a great series of abstract art that piece by piece may seem outrageous, yet put all together they blend into an original understanding of creative frontiers, through the mish-mashing of multiple styles into pastiche.

Aloha from Huelo...I don't get out playing that often, but I am playing tomorrow evening with Zuni and Rhythms of Africa at Voyage East at the Pawela Cannery off of West Kuiaha in Haiku from 7 p.m.
I have just set up myspace.com/zunimaui which has some sample music. Will get some friend exchange happening, but wanted to get the word out.
The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex covers more than 1.5 million acres. This is a much-larger-than-Delaware chunk of wild land in Western Montana home to grizzlies, eagles, mountain goats, and much, much more.
Protected as the crown jewel of America's National Wilderness Preservation System, "the Bob" serves as the prototype for all of the nation's 702 wilderness areas. Yet this priceless area is degrading. A recent Wilderness Watch analysis of 20 years of Forest Service monitoring data documented a chronic decline in wilderness values in the area. We will use our analysis to educate managers, interest groups, and members of Congress on conditions within the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
Our goal with this is to prevent degradation of the wilderness character of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. The management of wilderness in the Northern Rockies often sets the tone for the rest of the nation. In fact, “the Bob” is known as “the flagship wilderness” for that reason. As such, weakening wilderness standards here reverberate through the whole of the National Wilderness Preservation System. Please help us in support of true Wilderness by joining us today through our Myspace site.
