Bio:

.. Fortement influencé par la fusion jazz de Miles Davis et Herbie Hancock, JEAN-LUC BRIANCON ,alors étudiant au KIT de los Angeles en 1991/92, fonde ABIGOBA selon le concept de l'artiste invité en 1998. après un premier album "STRANGE WORLD" en 2000, puis "ASTROPHYSICAL EMOTIONS" (2001) sur le concept naissant de l'electro-jazz et l'astrophysique. "FAST MOVING MINDS" (2003) chez RDC records/night and day.(ressorti en 2007 par Cristal records), au accents MILESien . "URBAN JAZZ PRESSURE COOKER" (2006) chez Cristal records/abeille musique (France) et international (disque office, enja, ect...) qui marque la naissance de la notion d'electro-Jazz/nu-Jazz urbain. (festival à Marrakech « Riad en Jazz », la prestigieuse scène du New Morning , le Nancy Jazz Pulsation, le Baiser Salé, le hot club, le Ninkasi Kao...et bien d'autres scènes régulièrement) Mais c'est avec -FRAGMENTS OF HUMAN WORDS AND VOICES (XIIIbis/Warner- 2011), un album conceptuel autours du cinéma, qui pousse la mixité entre nu-jazz/electro-jazz et urban jazz ou l'intervention d'invités de marques de tout horizons - le trompettiste ERIK TRUFFAZ, Les chanteuses CHINA MOSES, Marine Pellegrini, Hawa , le rappeur américain ETN, ect... que s'affirme l'aventure abigobienne ou ce télescope des influences allant du RH factor de R.Hargrove, du hip-hop jazz de US3 et même des incursions dans l'univers du trip-hop de Massive Attack ou Morcheeba... Après une tournée promotionnelle de 3 mois (avec l'apparition scénique au concert Parisien de Erik Truffaz et China Moses en clôture de la tournée promo). Pour Juin 2012 le projet se voit remixé par des intervenants DJ réputé (Ordoeuvre(Fr), Danny Massure (USA)...auquel s'ajoute d'autres invités de marque (Erik Truffaz toujours, mais aussi une invité vocale du monde du Trip Hop anglais...) Affaire à suivre ....

Group stemming from the fusion / jazz and the acid-jazz, ABIGOBA gives us the opportunity to discover complementary musicians where the personality of each leads to an indisputable alchemy for a fusion " jazz on groove ". The jazz on groove abigobien it's: old and up-to-date electric Keyboards, explosive brass instruments, samplings electros, virtuoso impros decorated with a powerful bass in accordance with the rhythms of skillful percussions. According to the evolution of our times, the formation investigates on every album the integration of the language jazz in the sound influences which surrounds it.
