BRENDAN LEIPELT has been obsessed with Drum n' Bass since 1999 and it's all Dieselboy's fault. The first time he heard the crazy stuff was the day Soldier's Story was released; that night he drove 4 hours to Tennessee to see DSL perform, shook hands with him after the show, and decided on the spot that he wanted to do nothing else.
Fast forward 10 years later: he's now practicing on 3 or 4 turntables at a time, producing his own tracks that have been played by dj's around the world as far as San Diego, Toronto, Australia and the UK, pumping out new studio mixes nearly every week, spinning at clubs all over the Southeast USA with the likes of Total Recall & Henry Wilson, and regularly bugging Dieselboy on Twitter for book recommendations (which he kindly obliges). After ditching the turntablist dj name Ablist One that he's built over the years, he's taken a new direction with his sound and become SILENT, speaking with music instead of words. But don't let the name fool you; there's nothing quiet about it.

Dustin Blair and Steve Welborn have been friends and fellow DJ/PRODUCERS for the past nine years. They have a very advanced, unique sound that will destroy dance floors all night long. They stay hard at work in the studio, using the highest quality sounds and plug ins. As of lately Total Recall has received much attention for their dubstep production work. Genuinely a unique sound, the tracks speak for themselves as far as being a 100% Total Recall original sound.
This release features four dubstep tracks with exquisite sound design, and attention to detail. These old school dnb heads have found a niche within this genre and you can hear their musical background in these tunes. This is the duo's debut release on Abstract Logic Recordings, and their first official dubstep release ever. Just goes to show that the South East knows what's up when it comes to dubstep. If these guys keep making tracks like this, you're gonna need a bulletproof vest to go out to dubstep shows.
Tracklist: 1. Bang Bang (VIP mix) - Total Recall 2. Headz Only (VIP mix) - Total Recall 3. Major League Cupcakes - Total Recall 4. Ass
really digging "September" and "Secondary Fire". both those tracks have huge potential if you further them along and polish and creatively add some splashes to give it more build in some areas. not to much though. i like the minimalist approach when their are interesting twists. good stuff.
For the first Nerve release of 2009, we're very proud to present the debut EP from Copenhagen's Jean Doe.
It's drum n bass tinged with detroit techno and deep house, from the glitchy beats of the title track to deep rolling vibes on "Nuance" and "Fibre" before fellow Copenhagen based producer Pyro joins him for the epic and uplifting "Ambitions in A Minor".
