Hailing from Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Above All Else is a group of 4 guys that don’t understand the meaning of throwing in the towel. Formed in 2004 the band has seen member changes, hardships and challenges face them, yet AAE has always come out on top and stronger than ever. Every member of the band shares a passion for music and fights continuously to bring their music to new listeners. The group consists of Nate Fleming, Jeff Ward, Corey Decoste and Rob Fraser.

Above All Else’s full length demo album “Second Chances – released July 29th, 2007” was self-written, self-produced and recorded with Pierce Rogers of Audio Empire. The majority of the songs are devoted to the fans who have helped AAE build a strong fan base back in Nova Scotia. The first four tracks of the CD are examples of the song writing avenue which continue to influence newly written songs to be dynamic, intense, and honest. Since Above All Else has grown as song writers and as a group allowing the band to make quite a buzz towards their next release (Debut Full Length 2009).

AAE has had it’s share of road scars earned. In the summer of 2007 the boys loaded into a Dodge Caravan hauling a trailor and toured Eastern Canada for the release of “Second Chances…”. The year 2007 was the start of amazing things for Above All Else, getting their first glimpse of the road and playing with some great industry professional talents.

In 2008 Above All Else has shot to the stars and left a lot of people in awe of their accomplishments in a short time. Since January 08’ Above All Else has consistently been on the Canadian Myspace.com top artist charts; only to have it climax as they reached 1 overall in July of 08’. The impressive thing is that it was done by releasing pre production demos to their target audiences. 2008 has also seen AAE win the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands 12 Music Competition, play the Vans Warped Tour, play in front of over 2000 in the home town at the New Glasgow Jubilee, showcased in the Halifax Pop Explosion and embark on their first Canadian tour. Media, sponsors and promoters have their eyes open now and are foaming at the mouth waiting for the drop of AAE’s new album.

Above All Else has shared the stage with Faber Drive, Protest The Hero, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Audition, Ten Second Epic, The Trews, The Stampeeders, Hello Operator, Shotgun Rules and many more amazing artists.

AAE has taken their baby steps, now they are certainly ready to run with it. Their music is becoming more mature, sophisticated and thriving. Expect nothing less than an explosion from Above All Else in the Canadian music scene, a lot sooner than later!
