About me:
The Academy of Integrated Arts offers a curriculum of study based in the Filipino Martial Arts, Combative Freestyle Wrestling, & Shoot Wrestling as well as Thai Boxing.
Classes meet inside Tao Health Center located at 5515 Balcones Drive, Austin, TX 78731.

About the Classes
The Filipino Martial Arts: A weapons based art from the Philippines where the weapon training ultimately governs the movements of the empty hands. The training in weapons includes, but is not limited to, single stick, double stick, stick and dagger, and double dagger. The empty hand components of Filipino boxing (Panatukan) and Filipino wrestling (Dumog/Silat) have their root movements within the footwork, stances, and body mechanics of the weapons training.
Shoot Wrestling: This method of training is a unique blend of free-style wrestling, Russian Sambo, jiu-jitsu, Catch-as-catch-can wrestling, and Thai boxing, combined with the principles of combative ranges. These ranges include punching, kicking, clinch, takedowns, and ground fighting. Practitioners of Shoot Wrestling learn to not only utilize each of these ranges, but also to flow smoothly between them. This method develops attributes such as balance, speed, agility, coordination, endurance, and adaptability.
About the Instructor
Instructor Bryan Broussard is an instructor under Inosanto International and full instructor under Ray Parra (full Kali/Silat/Jeet Kune Do instructor under Inosanto International, Muay Thai kickboxing instructor under Ajarn Surachai "Chai" Sirisute, Pekiti Tirsia Kali instructor under Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje, Jr., JKD grappling instructor under Marc McFann's Unified Fighting Arts). Under the Inosanto International banner, Bryan is certified in Jun Fan Gung Fu (Jeet Kune Do) and the Filipino Martial Arts. In addition, he is an instructor in Filipino Combative Martial Arts International under Guro John Daniels and Grand Master Al Dacascos; instructor in Larry Hartsell's JKD Grappling Association; and is the #1 student of Mark Kay (the most renown take-down instructor for the mixed martial arts in the state of Texas), who frequently guest stars as an instructor at the Academy. Bryan studied Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for three years in the late 1990s under (then) Machado instructor Marc Ritacco. He has also been a member of Da'mon Stith's Capoeira Da Rua since 2001.
