Formed in 2005 in Birmingham by Leanne (vocals), Aceldama set out from the start to create songs that incorporate brutal, pinch harmonic grooves, with atmospheric harmonies and infectious hooks.
Shortly after forming, the band spent a year in virtual limbo due to Dawzs’ (guitars) tour of duty in Iraq. After this time, the line-up was completed by Ian on guitars, Paul on drums and Dave on bass. The band quickly began writing an arsenal of songs such as Dinosaurs, Forgotten and The Last Time that satisfy their original desires and provide a suitable musical backdrop for the band to unleash their energetic live performance.
Since becoming active in the live environment in 2007, Aceldama have continued writing new material whilst honing their live performance and taking gigs wherever they can. Over the last 2 years they have played most live venues in Birmingham as well as other venues throughout the Midlands with bands such as Liquid Sky, Invey, Seasons End and PowerQuest.
In February 2009 Aceldama said goodbye to Dave and welcomed Dan into the Aceldama family. Coupled with the release of their self produced debut album, ‘To Seduce Deceive Lead Astray’, Aceldama have set their sights on the whole of the UK, and introduce the nation to their infectious grooves!
