Acey Slade, is a New York City based musician, songwriter, Producer, Rock DJ, and Graphic artist. Acey played in the horror punk band Murderdolls (Roadrunner Records) as well as Dope (Flip/Epic/Sony) and fronted his own band Trashlight Vision (licensed to various labels around the world). The combined total of albums he has sold is over a million, not including downloads, and DVDs. Recently, Harmonix Music, the makers of the video game Rock Band 2 modeled 2 of their characters (the singer of the Punk band and guitarist of the Rock Band) after Aceys high energy, 2nd to none on stage antics. He has been a touring guitarist for Amen (Columbia/Sony) and Imperative Reaction (Metropolis), as well as performing on the Roadrunner Records ‘United’ album and the live concert DVD.
Acey has now branched out on a solo album. A daring collaboration for a rocker, Acey chose to work with Shaun Morris (DJ Stakka) an English Drum and Bass producer. The E.P. ‘Sex, Murder, Art, Baby’ was a limited release of 200 units and quickly sold out. The bands debut show in New York drew so much attention that it landed them on a theater tour of the East Coast with Combichrist. There are plans to release 1 more EP before the full length later this year titled, ‘The Dark Party’. The music is ‘Dark Pop Electronic Rock’ the live show is pure entertainment.
