Afrojack - Adam F remix

Biography

If there’s one man working in the field of electronic music who’s consistently guaranteed to be at the forefront of what’s most exciting whether as an artist, label boss, producer or beyond it’s Adam F. As co-founder/ MD of Breakbeat Kaos Adam was right there at the start, signing and developing Pendulum, Nero and Chase & Status and as an artist is right now once again making serious waves remixing the likes of David Guetta & Rihanna, Missy Elliott and Afrojack. Adam F is an English MOBO award winning producer/label owner who’s had over 8 top 40 U.K hits to date earning 8 Gold and 4 Platinum BPI discs as an artist/Label owner. He signed to EMI in the U.K. and his debut album “Colours” featured the top 20 hits "Circles" and "Music in My Mind." Colours won a MOBO award in the U.K. as best album. After an 18-month tour with a live band, hitting up festivals from Glastonbury to Japan , Adam proceeded to further trek the globe as a headline DJ. Adam paved the way for multi-genre producers by becoming one of the few U.K producers to break the USA with a co-write on LL Cool J’s seminal rap classic NO:1 US Billboard Album “The G.O.A.T.”. Adam then started working with the likes of Missy Elliott and Lady Luck and then began focusing on his own career spending 18 months recording his album, KAOS, which includes the anthem "Smash Sumthin'," featuring Redman. 2009 saw Adam back in the studio, this time with Horx to remix The Prodigy’s “Take me to the Hospital” from their 1.3 million selling album “Invaders Must Die”. Months later, Adam collaborated with Horx again to release the club smash “Shut the lights off” with Redman. Adam F and DJ Fresh’s collaboration single under the artist name W.T.F was next out the blocks, built around the classic Dead Prez “Bigger than Hip Hop” smash and becoming a hottest record in the world on his radio show and a must play festival anthem for the pivotal DJ Zane Lowe amongst others. At the time of writing Adam is putting the finishing touches to his new single and building beats for his third artist album which will no doubt further cement his position as one of the key players in the industry.

ULTRAGORE #008: HELICOPTER SHOWDOWN—THE WRESTLER EP

The San Francisco Bay has been traditionally known as a hotbed of underground sounds by those
fortunate enough to know where to look. For a time, the East Bay hyphy movement had kids
from Santa Rosa to Salinas ghost ridin’ the whip, and for years the underground warehouses
and speak-easys of The City have been owned by the warm thump of quality house music.
More recently though, dubstep has been creating a foothold on the Golden Gate, with a slew of
emerging artists carving out a space in the underground music scene both locally and nationally.

New kid on the block to SFO bass music, Helicopter Showdown is set to take the dubstep world
by storm with their blistering production style and heavy sound. Comprised of area producers
Blake Powers, Joshua Small, Devan Day, Ryan Wade, the foursome has their eyes set on bass
music domination with their tracks getting support from BARE, Mark Instinct, Vaski, JOGO,
    Liquid Stranger, and Point.blank.

On their debut EP, The Wrestler, the foursome releases their night terrors inducing sound on the
world with a fearsome five-pack not for the faint of heart.

On the title track, The Showdown joins Sluggo for a big slice of epic rave tear-out, sure to keep
heads high and hands up. With Life On The Edge, HS takes things up a notch with a plodding
stepper heavy on the murder bass low end.

Digital blood-lust takes center stage on The Terror, as a slew of arpeggiated wind-ups and
slow-downs keep ‘em guessing. Belgian duo Point.blank take remix duties on The Terror
(Point.blank Remix) with murderous results, and to round out the EP, HS throws an audio curve
ball on Push Forward. Blending serene ambience and a squelching low end, they create what is
easily the most diverse track on the EP.

Heavy on bass with a style all their own, Helicopter Showdown show and prove with The
    Wrestler EP.
