Started learning piano aged four and discovered ragtime music not long after. At fourteen bought his first pianola for £20. Since then he has acquired three more, one organ, one regular piano, ten thousand-plus piece music library, two cats, three children and a wife (usually sympathetic). Member of the Player Piano Group's committee. Has played music the world over, even one night filling in as keyboardist for a heavy metal rock band. Has written numerous songs most of which are unsuitable for polite company. This distant relation of Peter Sellers, Sir Rowland Hill and the Sassoons engages his spare time creating new repertoire for a very old musical instrument indeed!
