All the bands that we grew up with and continue to draw on for inspiration, all the friends and fellow musicians we've jammed with, all of those that believe in the basic mission, the winds, surf and the open sea.
Sailing comfortably under the aegis of Admiral Browning, these adventurers have since settled at over 100 ports of call since commencing gigging in early 2005, focused mainly in their home state of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. Several mini-tours canvassed the Southeast US, and as far west as Arizona. Along the way the Admiral has had the honor of sharing the stage with established acts such as The Bakerton Group, Internal Void, Stinking Lizaveta, Valkyrie, Earthride, Unorthodox, Abdullah, Tonegrown, Minsk, Christine, Sasquatch, Acid King and the Terminal Lovers, as well as playing multiple festivals including 2006-2007's Stoner Hands of Doom VII and VIII, Cabin Kegger of Doom I-III, and 2007's Doom or Be Doomed.

2009 has been an exciting year so far, seeing the release of our latest opus and debut of the power trio lineup, _Magic Elixir_. The Admiral is continually questing for new sonic frontiers to explore as they continue to write and play out songs for an upcoming full-length LP, as well as a special surprise collaboration to bring in the new year! Having already conquered new shores through the Northeast and Midwest on the Sarsaparilla Roadshow tour in May and the High Seas adventure in July with our friends Ol' Scratch, the Admiral was honored to participate in the tenth anniversary of Stoner Hands of Doom in September. With the sun on our face and the wind at our back, this vessel is unsinkable. We'll see you on the road!
Reviews for our latest album MAGIC ELIXIR
"A predictable debt is owed to Sabbath, although Admiral Browning draw more from the expansive, experimental side ... The arrangements could have been concocted by an indie supergroup featuring members of Don Caballero and Sleep. Magic Elixir is a small package to shoe this all into, but it sure whets the appetite for the upcoming full-length." - Decibel (8 out of 10 - review not yet available online)
