The band now known as Aeon Aethereal was formed by two brothers, Ove-Kuth and Ott Kadak in early 2004. In February Ott invited Dan to play drums in the band, some few days later Silver, the guitarist joined. The bassist Andres was found in summer 2004. During its melodic death metal period, the band went by the name BloodForge. Winning a young bands' contest (the band's first gig) in 2005 was pretty much the highpoint for the group, after which a demo was recorded.
The last concert for BF was in november 2006, opening for Moonsorrow with Manatark and Leech
In the latter half of 2006 the guitarists started working on the new
material and as it differed greatly from the old creation, both in genre and lyrical themes, a change in band's name seemed appropriate. After several months of heavy brainstorming the new name, Aeon Aethereal, was finally selected. As for genre, Aeon Aethereal's creation fits somewhere between death and melodic black metal with some thrashy riffs in it.
The band was in time-out for the most part of 2008, recording their debut album "Parasite Halls", which was released on the 22nd of July, 2008.
In August 2009 a change in line-up was made, as bassist Andres left and Markus was recruited to replace him.
