æther is a Columbus based indietronica quartet with a cinematic sound. Crafting sleek, moody sound-scapes over visceral beats, aether channels its noise pop and electronica sensibilities into an aural luster that never loses its heady brand of cool. Cerebral and gutsy, introspective and explosive, the æther sound delivers equal parts intensity and atmospherics.

At live performances, video loops are projected behind the band, collaged from footage that the band members have filmed both domestically and internationally. In addition to the rock-performance medium, the band continues to write and record custom music for independent film makers.

The band was formed in the spring of 2002 as one of the midwest's premier post rock ensembles, and has recently evolved with new bassist Miquel Stubbs and vocalist Aaron Pickering.
