"The Famous-X" project was born in summer of 2005 from an idea of Sted, guitar player of Highlord. At that time talking with his friend "Dimension Idol" he discovered the existence of MySpace and decided to have his own project.
With the idea of making something different from Power and Prog metal music, Sted decided to look at old Hair-Metal, AOR and Class-Metal styles....
Racer-X, Mr. Big, Winger, Loudness, X-Japan, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper are just a few of the artists that influenced his past and present musical formation.
In the beginning the compositions were meant to be just instrumental, but they soon developed into whole songs with his mate Andy at the microphone.
Being Sted a tipical GEEK, he could not avoid gettin' interested in home recordings and tech stuff in general..he decided not only to write music but to record it all in his home-studio! All guitars, bass, keyboards and drum programming come from the small studio now known as: "Mere X studios" :-)
Mixing and mastering processes took place at “One Voice” studios.
At the moment the duo is promoting the new album on specialized press and websites with the intention of establishing a net of internet shops stocking the cd for our beloved freaks out there and looking for a label that will make true the release of "Deal with the Devil" on a larger scale.

"The Famous-X"は 2005年夏、HIGHLORDのギタリスト、ステッドのアイデアから生まれたプロジェクトである。彼の友人でもあるバンド"Dimension Idol"からMyspaceの存在を聞かされ、
ソロプロジェクトを作る事を決める。
ステッドはパワーメタルやプログレメタルとは違った音楽を作りたいと考えていた。Racer-X, Mr. Big, Winger, Loudness, X-Japan, Ozzy Osbourne,
Alice Cooperなど、ごく少数のアーティストが彼の過去、そして現在の音楽に様々な影響を与えてきた。そして彼は、80年代などのオールドヘアメタルやAORミュージック、
クラシカルメタルなどの音楽スタイルからアイデアを取り入れる事を決める。
当初、"The Famous-X"はインストゥルメンタルの曲のみを作る予定だった。しかし、彼の友人でありHIGHLORDのリードシンガーでもあるアンディが加わり、本格的に活動を開始する。
音楽機材などの電子工学にもかなり興味のあるステッド。そんな彼にホームスタジオで曲を録音するという事への興味を尽きさせる事は出来なかった。
そしてステッドはホームスタジオで音楽を書く事だけでなく、レコーディングする事を決める。ギター、ベース、キーボード、ドラムプログラミングなどは全て、ステッドのホームスタジオで収録された。
その小さなスタジオは現在、"Mere X studios"として知られている。また、ミキシングなどはOne Voice studioで行われた。
現 在、この"The Famous-X"バンドはニューアルバム"Deal with the Devil"を世界中のファンの元に届けるべく、インターネットショップなどへのプロモーションを行なっている。また、彼らの音楽をさらに広め、CDリ リースを可能にしてくれるレーベルを探している。
