Afterbirth is shapeless. Afterbirth is constantly changing. Afterbirth is a core of solid melodic composition, surrounded by fragments of hardcore and artrock, electronica and jazz. The songwriting duo of Jens Olav Dankertsen and Jon-Eirik Boska have been working together as Afterbirth non-stop for the past seven years, and in the writing of 60 songs - most of them recorded - they have developed a near telepathic relationship in composing. Afterbirth have been a trio since the winter og ‘06 with the joining of bass player Daniel Klepp, and on their tours all around Norway in ‘07 the band stood out as an exeptional live performance in some of the most reputable rock clubs in the country, displaying an intensity, energy and a level of ambition that will define the direction of the band.
