from the first I heard Yea, Yea, Yea..............I was hooked on rock. The British Invasion of the 60's drove me right to the guitar store. Though I loved the Beatles more than any, it was Dave Clark 5's song - "Anyway You Want It", that did me in. My first concert was Herman's Hermits and Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders. Now, on the groups and music. I remained in Rock Mode and followed musical history through the Amboy Duke's, Ultimate Spinach, Vanilla Fudge, The Byrds, Electric Prunes, Blues Magoos, The Yardbirds to Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Cream, Doors, The MOVE (Roy Wood was the man!!) Jeff Beck, Jeff Beck, and Jeff Beck!!! I was a young metal head.......Gun, Three Man Army, Spontaneous Combustion, Budgie, Hard Stuff, Cactus and on through Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Atomic Rooster, King Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator, ELP etc. It was at this point I heard "FOXTROT".....DONE!! I was a Genesis nut. I saw every concert tour from Selling England thru Abacab. YES: I remember buying the Yes album titled YES. I got it home, listened and thought these guys are great, but I don't like female vocals. WOW! was I surprised HAHHAHAHa! Anyway, YES was another favorite. Then I bought Gentle Giant - Three Friends on a recommendation from a friend......DONE IN AGAIN!!! I was fortunate to see them twice, once alone and once with Robin Trower. OK............Return to Forever........Mahavishnu. Well, at the time I was working in a record store and I had access to whatever looked interesting. All I can say is, I have a huge collection of "Fusion" from all over the world (70's and 80's) This is my influence.
As a guitar player, I loved Jeff Beck, Joe Walsh, Eric Clapton, David Gilmore, Andy Lattimer, Steve Hackett, Roine Stolt, Neal Morse, Nick Barrett, and many more.
As a bass player, Paul McCartney was my favorite, because of his melodic, filling bass lines. BUT!! I can't leave out Jeff Berlin, Tony Levin, Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Percy Jones, Stanley Clarke, Billy Sheehan, Stephen Amazing (UPP) and many others.
Drummers: .. ..1 Always - Bill Bruford, then Ian Paice, Phil Collins, John Bonham, Carmine Appice, Peter Erskine, Michael Walden, Mike Portnoy, and a few more.
Keyboards: Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson, Keith Jarrett, Tony Banks and others.
CURRENT FAVORITES:ROINE STOLT: GUITAR, FLOWER KINGS AND MORE.... NICK BARRETT: GUITAR AND VOCALIST, PENDRAGON

I'm stuck in the 70's!!! It's funny, I feel like my 27 year musical retirement, froze me in time. I have to laugh......... I hope I can catch up to the 2000's
Rob Grant - After a 20 year music retirement, I found a new spot in music. Inspired to play and record, by friends from AURAL MOON, I have found a new Peace.
Since FEB. 2006, I have gone through MANY ups and downs in the learning process of computer recording and internet collaborations. I've been pleased, hurt, and confused....but through it all, I learned how to have FUN and ONLY FUN!! My music is my escape....TO reality....
I have become a "collab" HO, as once called by my internet bud, Blake Tobias of TCP....he was right. I love to collaborate with others.....it's just me and my means to FUN!! fantasy layout @ HOTFreeLayouts.comMyHotComments

Hi Rob, It's been a while again, How are you doing? Good I hope! And Karen and the kids? All fine? I'd like to think that they are all doing great! Not a great deal of change in things, except that life here is a little more relaxed since the animal that was making our lives hell here moved out about a month ago! Now all we got to worry about is the threat of future flooding around here which again almost happened on August 31st nearly a year on from September 5th '08's flood. Floods have hit various parts of the UK last night, and a lot more rain is expected over the weekend! Oh well...there's my good news! How about yours? Looking forward to hearing from you, Take care! Mel
I hope you're well and that you won't be pissed off with me for suggesting something that, if you don't know of them already, will definitely cost you money.....LOL!!!
So glad I called in and caught a few of your new collaborations. Nigel sure is on top form vocally on "Will to survive" The song is so powerful with a strong message...probably my favorite for that reason.
Send this heart to at least 15 people including me if you care for me!!! Let's see how many hearts you get!!!! All the best - plz do! I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you ........¶¶¶¶¶¶............¶¶¶¶¶¶ ....¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶....¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ ..¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶........¶¶¶¶¶¶ ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶........¶¶¶¶¶¶ ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶....¶¶¶¶¶ ¶¶ ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ ..¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ ....¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ ......¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ ¶¶¶¶¶¶ .........¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ ...........¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ ............¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ .............¶¶¶¶¶¶ ...............¶¶" !!!
