Since the release of their debut album in April 2007, things have changed for Turku- based rock act Agent Kooper. Later the same year, Gainesville, FL- native drummer Jake McMullen joined the band, and in 2008 Agent Kooper has spent more time in their rehearsal space than ever, distilling their own blend of Indie Rock under the influence of Queens of the Stone Age, Wolf Parade, Beck Hansen, Gregory Corso, alcohol, Okkervil River, Of Montreal, LCD Sound System, Jim Jarmusch, The Dandy Warhols, Wilco, Nick Cave, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Dolly Parton, and Kings of Leon. The new direction in their songwriting has seen the trilingual trio occasionally expand into a quintet in live situations.
