Agent Side Grinder is an electronic band from Stockholm that plays a unique mix of synth, industrial and post-punk, inspired by acts such as Cabaret Voltaire, Suicide and Joy Division. The band uses only analogue equipment, such as vintage synthesizers, drum machines and tape loops. Combined with feverish vocals from singer Kristoffer Grip, they create raw, powerful and truly addictive music. In 2008, they released their acclaimed debut album, and late 2009 they released no more than two albums, "Irish Recording Tape" and "The Transatlantic Tape Project". On "Irish Recording Tape" the band perfects their mixture of frenzied rhythms, industrial sounds, hypnotic, almost krautrockesque synth sequences and post-punk bass lines à la Peter Hook. Since then, the band have toured Europe extensively. With their explosive live-shows and innovative albums they have gained a devoted underground following all over the world. In September 2010 they were invited to do a concert with their musical mentors Suicide. In late 2011, a new ASG album will be released.
