With two other Agents in Panama and the five million dollar flash, 'agents in panama' to make it easy for everybody else out there. The band was formed in 2004 – confined in their Brussels rehearsal room they started to explore the realm of instrumental rock and psychedelica. From a three piece guitar-drum band they evolved into a epic five headed-monster with different backgrounds. The music contains chards of the seventies (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, JPT Scare Band), Modern Psychedelica (Comets on Fire, Dead Meadow), Stoner Rock (Kyuss) and Post-Rock (Mono, Mogwai).
Agents in panama made an effort to play strange locations, from barns with a beaten earth floor, living rooms, the old court of Mary of Burgundy, living rooms & shopping centres. Of course there was the occasional youth centre as well. In 2007 they got signed on labl records (www.labl.be) after a deafening session in the rehearsal room. A new language for clearer pictures was released in December of the same year. It received good reviews on the net and independent music magazines, GONZO CIRCUS called it one hell of a debut record. Recorded in 5 days and released as a limited luxurious vinyl (with free CD) and CD.
In 2008 Agents In Panama won the Maanrock Rally in Mechelen by unanimous decision of the jury and started gigging their asses of.
Songs of the band are about Kamikaze Pilots, Fights on Valentine's Day, nice guys not getting the girls, the inequality in the world, … Basic ideas are sculpted into agent-mode by all personnel. Currently agents in panama is working on the next step with songs like cada vez que parpadeas, ? , straighten up and die right, alfaro vive carajo!…
