Fondati nel 1982 a Perugia come quartetto, con musicisti provenienti da altre esperienze, gli Aidons la Norvege hanno esordito dal vivo con una formazione a tre elementi (Francesco Frondini-voce-sax-synth, Augusto Croce-chitarra, Massimo Rossi-basso) ed una drum machine.
Il nome del gruppo proviene da un manifesto di propaganda uscito in Francia nel 1940 per protestare contro l'invasione nazista della Norvegia.
Nel 1983, con l'ingresso del batterista Alessandro Costantini la formazione si è stabilizzata.
Il gruppo tenne diversi concerti in varie città italiane, e nel 1985 organizzò insieme ai concittadini Militia un mini-tour tedesco, con due date a Tübingen ed una al K.O.B. di Berlino.
Nello stesso anno vennero presi i contatti con una casa discografica indipendente toscana, la Spittle Records, per la realizzazione di un mini-LP.
Il disco, autofinanziato dal gruppo, uscì nel 1986 per una sottoetichetta della Spittle, la Label Service, con il titolo La sfida. Si tratta di un 12 pollici contenente quattro brani nel tipico stile del gruppo, una dark wave con testi in italiano.
Alla fine del 1986 il batterista Alessandro Costantini lasciò il gruppo, sostituito da Francesco Pauselli, con cui gli Aidons La Norvege continuarono la loro attività concertistica, suonando anche, nell'edizione 1987 di Rockin' Umbria, insieme al gruppo irlandese That Petrol Emotion.
Il gruppo si sciolse nel marzo 1988, poco dopo un concerto all'Hiroshima Mon Amour di Torino.
Negli anni successivi ci sono stati diversi tentativi di riunire la formazione originale, ma tutti senza successo.
Gli Aidons hanno suonato di nuovo insieme nel maggio 2006 al Norman di Perugia, in ricordo del Suburbia, storico locale perugino degli anni '80, e si sono poi riuniti nel 2007 con l'intento di suonare ancora dal vivo.
Hanno quindi tenuto un nuovo concerto al Norman nel maggio 2008, per poi esibirsi a Roma, al Sinister Noise, nel giugno dello stesso anno e a Milano, al Palko di Sesto San Giovanni, in novembre.

Founded in 1982 in Perugia as a quartet, with musicians coming from previous experiences, Aidons la Norvege made their live debut with a three-piece line-up (Francesco Frondini-vocals-sax-synth, Augusto Croce-guitar, Massimo Rossi-bass) and a rhythm machine.
The name of the group comes from an anti-Nazi poster issued in France in 1940 to protest against the invasion of Norway.
In 1983, the line-up became stable with new drummer Alessandro Costantini.
The group played in many Italian cities, and in 1985, along with their fellows Militia they were able to play a german mini-tour, with two dates in Tübingen and one at the legendary K.O.B. in Berlin.
In the same year the band signed a deal with an independent record label from Tuscany, Spittle Records, to release a 12-inch mini-LP.
The record, self-produced and financed by the group, came out in 1986 for a Spittle subsidiary, called Label Service, with the title La sfida. It was a 12-inch with four tracks in the typical style of the group, a dark-inspired new wave sound with Italian lyrics.
At the end of 1986 drummer Alessandro Costantini quit the group, replaced by Francesco Pauselli, with which Aidons La Norvege kept on playing live, even supporting, in 1987 edition of the Rockin' Umbria festival, the Irish group That Petrol Emotion.
The group broke up in March 1988, following a concert at Hiroshima Mon Amour in Turin.
In the following years there were many attempts of reforming the original line-up, but all of them were unsuccessful.
Aidons la Norvege finally played together again in May 2006 at Norman Club in Perugia, to commemorate Suburbia, a legendary club of the 80's, and reunited in 2007 with the aim of playing live again.
They played again at Norman in May 2008, then in Rome, at Sinister Noise, in June, and in Milan at Palko Club in Sesto San Giovanni, in November 2008.
