**NEWS**Aisling writes the original music for a Bluepatch production of "The Clean House" by Sarah Rahl
***Aisling writes the original music and acts in a production of "Medea Redux" by Neil LaBute which will be performed as part of the Galway Theatre Festival. ***********************************************************
Having completed a years music production course in Dublin I decided to embark upon a career out from behind the production desk. My curiousity lured me into collecting and playing an array of instruments along the way including the piano, guitar, flute, mandolin, violin, melodica, xylophone. In 2004 I released my first demo which was chosen as Jackie Hayden's "Pick of the Fortnight" in Hotpress. 2006 saw me returning to the studio to record my first EP " A Simple Arrangement" which was launched in the summer of 2007 in Roisin Dubh, Galway and Bewleys Theatre, Dublin. Jackie Hayden, on reviewing the EP for Hotpress congratulated me on "a winning vocal style" and stated that as a singer/songwriter I "was to be applauded for providing ...something less predictable".................................................................................................... In the past year Aisling has composed the original music for a production of “Portia Coughlan” by Marina Carr which enjoyed a sell out run in The New Theatre, Temple Bar. She then supported Albert Niland on his Irish tour. This summer she acted in and created original music for a successful production of "Medea Redux" which ran in the Bernard Shaw Beer Garden, following which she joined Roesy as support on his Irish tour. She is currently completing work on her debut album and writing the music for a production of "The Clean House" by Sarah Ruhl which runs in The New Theatre, Temple Bar in November.

Greetings to you, our kind friends from Ireland. As some of you may be aware, we had intended to visit your fine and verdant home this very winter, in the deep cold heart of December. Unfortunately, due to circumstance, (that surly old bugbear), we will not be able to make it. Do not fear, no need to rend your hair in agony or take to the streets in mournful procession. This is merely a postponement of our inevitable arrival, as foretold by scholars and mystics of old. This band of rough hewn and unknown balladeers from out the concrete wilds of Boise, Idaho will make joyous landfall in the relatively near(ish) future. In the mean time, we will wrap ourselves in blankets and begin recording our new album, to be released this spring. We greatly appreciate all of your support, comments, and interest, and look forward to performing for you soon. Take care and keep your toes warm. Josh/ASD And here, an extra special gift for you. A video of us covering a song by Boise’s biggest musical export, (no, not Josh Ritter, though he is a fellow Idahoan, of whom we’re duly proud), Built to Spill.

Hi aisling quinn, I Draw Slow are playing The Cobblestone, Smithfield in Dublin on Wednesday 24th June, supported by the amazing Thomas Kitt. Doors are at 8.30 and admission is €10, a small price to pay to see the citys two premier acoustic acts don't you agree? On the off chance you disagree, come down on wednesday next to the Cobblestone, Smithfield Dublin and we'd be happy to discuss it.
