Connections must be made between musicians and their audience, a common bond that unites the masses. The importance of finding this connection is critical to the survival of an artist’s career. With their insightful and zealous lyrical content, along with a hard-hitting musical live performance, aivaTAB has struck the chord of approval amongst music enthusiasts & critics throughout the Chicago area and beyond.
It is no surprise aivaTAB’s loyal fanbase continues to grow and support the band through every step of their development. Rooted in the name itself (yeah, it’s Batavia backwards, get over it…pronounced like “I’ve a tab” at the bar), the basis for the messages and themes in aivaTAB’s music stems from the life experiences of today’s generation, a sort of backwards way of growing up and surviving on our own. aivaTAB is everything your parents didn’t want when they moved you to your pretty little subdivision.
Breaking out of their neighborhoods, aivaTAB has released 5 demos and 3 albums, and completed a successful, self-booked US tour. Their latest album, Code of Conduct, shines bright and brings promise to the national scene. Hooking up once again with producer/engineer Manny Sanchez (Incubus, Zwan), Code of Conduct draws from a broad range of influences from Jurassic 5 to Pearl Jam to Sevendust, and the album has a true identity not seen before. aivaTAB hasn't settled into the monotonous genre of Screamo, and brings a hardcore edge with a keen sense of melody. Recording of the next album has begun, titled Re-Entry, and will be accompanied by another string of US, and for the first time, international touring. Are you ready?
Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."
