Alaska in Winter:
• is aka Brandon Bethancourt
• is originally from New Mexico
• spent half a year in Alaska out in a cabin in the woods recording music during the winter of 2004... hence the name (And yes- Brandon did it years before Bon Iver even had the idea)
• later traveled Eastern Europe in search of dance parties
• finally released its 'debut', "Dance Party in the Balkans" which featured a young Zach Condon (Beirut) in the summer of 2007 on European label Regular Beat
• has many unreleased recordings prior to "Dance Party..."
• over half a year later finally released a slightly different version of its 1st album in the US through Milan Records.
• did first North American tour as support act for Beirut fall 2007
• did first headlining tour in Europe spring of 2008
• relocated to Berlin, Germany and recorded 2nd album "Holiday" summer 2008
• continues to tour with its "virtual video orchestra" and pretty much lives out of a suitcase somewhere between Berlin, New York, and New Mexico.
• is currently living in Berlin working on new music and training for the 24 hour dance party Olympics
• hopes to release a cassette tape of tunes entitled "Space Eagle [the motion picture soundtrack]" soon but is having difficulty due to multiple hard drive failures, laptops dying and other technological disasters... yet Brandon continues to summon the force of german robots with high hopes that we will all experience colorful laser tears of joy.

I have been listening to the audiopage of your new homepage all evening. Especially the parts of the soundtrack of the Space eagle project. Great stuff!
